About Me

I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with specialized education in childhood and adolescent disorders, substance use, and addiction.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a behavior coach and counseling intern with children and adolescents ages 2–19 experiencing a variety of emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns. These experiences shaped my belief that therapy should meet each person where they are rather than expecting everyone to heal in the same way.

One of the things I often remind my clients is that we are human, and we are not expected to be perfect. Mistakes, difficult experiences, and challenging emotions don't define us. They can also become opportunities to better understand ourselves, learn new ways of coping, and grow.

Life can feel overwhelming at any age. Children and teens may struggle to understand or communicate what they’re feeling, while adults can find themselves caught in patterns of anxiety, stress, self-doubt, or putting everyone else’s needs before their own.

My goal as a therapist is to create a supportive, compassionate space where you—or your child—can feel understood, develop new skills, and work toward meaningful change.

My Approach to Therapy

I believe mental health and physical health are deeply connected. Stress, anxiety, and difficult experiences don't just affect our thoughts—they can also show up in our bodies.

Because of this, I take a holistic approach to therapy that considers both emotional and physical well-being. I may incorporate strategies that help clients become more aware of what is happening in their bodies, regulate difficult emotions, and develop a greater sense of safety and control.

Sometimes the most useful tools are also the simplest. Deep breathing and grounding techniques can help us slow down, reconnect with the present moment, and create space between what we're feeling and how we respond.

Most importantly, I want clients to learn to extend the same kindness toward themselves that they so readily give to others.

Many of us become accustomed to putting the needs of our friends, families, partners, or children ahead of our own. Caring deeply about others is a strength—but caring for yourself matters too. Therapy can be a place to begin understanding your own needs, establishing healthier boundaries, and recognizing that it is okay to make yourself a priority.
